You know that joy phrase we’re always tossing around? Yesterday two of our dear volunteers, Liz and Dawn, received a good dose of it themselves while working in their round pen.

From what they tell me, they couldn’t quite make out her name.
Liz: Am I saying that right?
Muffin: NO! It’s C-H-A-R-L-O-T-T-E!!!!
And so it went.
We get riders with all levels of confidence. Some are scared to death and must be coerced. Some wish we’d let them galloping around the pens. Then, there’s Charlotte.

One of the ladies asked if she could put her arms out like an airplane. She instantly did that and then announced, “I could do this all freaking day!”

And she did. Charlotte, with all her three year old confidence, zoomed around that pen without a moment’s hesitation.

When her turn was over, her cousin(I think) Khloe had a go at it. And because Dawn and Liz hadn’t had enough chuckles, Khloe yells out that she couldn’t reach Joe’s pedals.
Some days the children make it really easy for the volunteers to want to come back and walk backwards in the sand for hours at a time. Thanks, C-H-A-R-L-O-T-T-E and Khloe. You were a lot of fun. And extra thanks to Dawn, Liz, and the whole Joy Team. You all make this whole crazy ranch possible.

I spit out my drink when you told me that yesterday. Too funny, and too cute! Hey, we had some super cute cuties yesterday too <3
Well done Dawn and Liz.
